Mike Himes, President and General Manager
Mike Himes is a licensed real estate broker, facilitating residential and commercial transactions throughout Southwest Michigan. A longtime Sturgis resident, Mike has been instrumental in development efforts in the city’s commercial corridor—including restaurant sales, office leases, and land acquisitions—and is committed to promoting a thriving community. He is involved with the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority, Tri-Township Fire Department, and the Masonic Lodge, and he serves as supervisor for Fawn River Township’s Board of Trustees.
John Carmichael, President
As president of Root and Branch, John Carmichael pursues a passion for ensuring long-term opportunity and vitality for Sturgis and Southwest Michigan. He focuses on developing real estate projects that both drive investment and integrate pressing community needs. John has served as Sturgis’ youngest mayor ever and on numerous local boards and committees, from economic development to philanthropy.
